Charm Tetracycline Tests for the Dairy Industry
Charm provides a variety of rapid diagnostic tests to detect tetracycline residues in dairy products. Some common tetracycline drugs include oxytetracycline, tetracycline and chlortetracycline. Tetracyclines are commonly used broad-spectrum antibiotics that inhibit protein synthesis in bacteria. Tetracyclines are known to provoke allergic reactions in humans and induce microbial resistance. Administration is primarily via injectables, but also by intramammary, bolus, drinking water and in some countries, sub-therapeutic levels in feed.
