Charm Tests for the Pulp and Paper Industry The Pulp and Paper industry faces challenges to reduce and/or eliminate microbial contaminants from areas which can affect paper quality, especially those susceptible to biofilm formation. Microbial contaminants can cause losses of raw material, machine stoppages and inferior quality of finished paper/cardboard product. Charm’s ATP-based PocketSwab program can help improve paper quality by providing instant assessment of the hygienic status of surfaces, water quality (raw, process water, treated and wastewater) and environmental areas.
