Charm II Amphenicol Tests The amphenicol family of antibiotics includes such drugs as chloramphenicol, florfenicol, and thiamphenicol. Chloramphenicol has been banned for use in food producing animals in many countries as it is known to cause aplastic anemia. Charm offers two Charm II Kits to detect chloramphenicol in milk, and several other kits for detection of amphenicols and/or chloramphenicol in honey, shrimp and other food products. These tests are designed for use by laboratory and regulatory personnel.
